What Aika Accesses

Aika accesses your calendar events and reminders through Apple's EventKit framework. This is a local, on-device API provided by macOS. When you grant Aika permission to access your calendars and reminders, that data is read directly from the local system database on your Mac.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not collect any personal information
• We do not transmit any data to external servers
• We do not use any analytics or tracking tools
• We do not include any third-party SDKs that collect data
• We do not use cookies or similar technologies
• We do not have user accounts or registration
• We do not send telemetry or crash reports
• We do not sell, share, or rent any data to third parties

Network Connections

Aika does not make any network connections. The application operates entirely offline. The only exception is if your macOS system performs standard license validation through the payment provider, which is handled by the system and not by Aika itself.

Data Storage

Aika stores your preferences (such as selected time zones and display settings) locally on your Mac using macOS UserDefaults. This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

Aika does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The only external interaction is when you click a video meeting link (Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, etc.), which opens the URL in your default browser — no data is sent to us.

Children's Privacy

Since Aika does not collect any data from anyone, there are no special concerns regarding children's privacy.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page. Given that our core principle is "collect nothing," we don't anticipate significant changes. Should we ever need to collect data in the future (we have no plans to), we would clearly communicate this before any change takes effect.
